For my final Media Forensics project, I developed a novel presentation attack detection (PAD) system for iris images.

One of most challenging parts in starting this project was access to datasets. Because irises are protected as biometric features, there are (rightfully) many approvals required to get access. As fewer datasets were available than initially expected, the scope of the project was greatly reduced from aiming to create a generalizable model to aiming to create a model to distinguish synthetically generated irises alone.
