I track my finances purchase-by-purchase with a Google Form and spreadsheet. While I also use apps to track my finances, the manual method helps me be more mindful about my spending.

My budgeting template came from Reddit's r/personalfinance page and is attributed to u/cooledtube. I personalized the template by changing the theme and adding a couple extra fields in the form.

I enter each item I purchase into a Google Form which populates my budget. I can see the percentage of income and dollar amounts spent in each category per month.

Along with the itemized receipt, I keep track of monthly balances in each of my accounts. I auto-invest into index funds every Monday and have a snapshot of my returns and net worth all on the same page.

In the future, I'd like to add a Google Apps Script to send weekly updates to my inbox.
